Longtime Seminole resident Georgia (Harjo) Day passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the age of 76 at Colonial Estates Nursing Home in Shawnee, Oklahoma.rnrnShe was born on September 20, 1931 in Seminole County to Peter and Mary (Spencer) Harjo. rnrnShe was a homemaker and a member of the Hitchitee United Methodist Church. the Cheyahv Ceremonial Ground. Georgia was also of the Sweet Patato Clan and her tribal name is Ca-te rnrnShe is survived by two daughters: Virginia Cunningham of Edmond, Oklahoma and Mary Wolf Cully of Konawa, Oklahoma and one son, William Joseph Bowlegs of Irving, Texas. Five grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces?, nephews and other family and friends, also survive her.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 10:30am, Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Hitchitee Church with a burial to follow at Harjo Underwood Family Cemetery. Mike Harjo, Mildred Harjo and Ted Underwood will officiate. rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, 100 W. Strothers, Seminole, Oklahoma 74868.rnrnWake services will be held from 6-8pm, Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.rn rnPallbearers will be: Tecumseh Underwood, Victor Underwood, Ted Underwood, Percy Harjo, Bruce Harjo, Nathan Harjo and Willie Frank Haney.rnrn Funeral Information: November 30, 2007, 10:30 AM
