Georgetta Walker

Seminole resident, Georgette Walker, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in Seminole, at the age of 85 years. 

Georgetta, the daughter of Jeff Walker and Stella (Wolf) Walker Washington, was born January 7, 1939, in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Georgetta graduated from Derby High School, just south of Wichita, Kansas. She spent most of her life in Los Angeles California, where she started a career in a photography studio. Georgetta loved driving around and seeing sites, to see her next inspiration on a gardening idea. Georgette loved gardening and even grew the biggest accidental water melon anyone had ever seen. But Georgetta’s true calling was photography. 

She is preceded in death by her mother, Stella (Wolf) Walker Washington, her father, Jeff Walker, brothers, Johnson Walker, Turner Walker, Jackie Walker, Franklin Walker, Ben Walker and Samuel Walker, and sisters, Joan (Walker) Freeman and her beloved sister Marie (Walker) Didonna. 

Georgetta is survived by her niece, Nakina (Nicky) DiDonna, and a nephew, Bobby Dee DiDonna. 

She loved them all dearly. She will be missed by all her family. 

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
