George Junior Nelson

George Junior Nelson, 89 year old Seminole County, Oklahoma resident, passed away March 17, 2019 at his home. George was born on October 17, 1929 in Omaha, Nebraska to George H. Nelson and Iva (Cue) Nelson. George was a high school graduate and attended college for two years. George married Mary Helen Cruson on April 27, 1948 in San Diego, California. The couple moved to Oklahoma several years ago.  Sadly, Mary preceded him in death on April 20, 2017. George was a truck driver for A.M. Lewis Wholesale Grocers in El Cajon, California and retired in 1990. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma and enjoyed the outdoors and being with his children and grandchildren. Surviving George are his sons; Michael S. Nelson of El Cajon, California, Dave Nelson of Phoenix, Arizona, John Nelson of Lakeside, California and Thomas Nelson of El Cajon, California, his daughter; Julie Ann Campbell of Wewoka, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Iva Nelson, his brother Robert Nelson and his wife Mary. Memorial services will be held by the family at a later date.
