Former longtime Seminole resident George ?Wayne? Mason passed away on August 9, 2007 at the age of 66.rnrnHe was born on April 17, 1941 in Denison, Texas to George and Opal (Lemons) Mason. rnHe worked many years in the oil field and in later years he worked in construction.rnrnHe is survived by his son Jerry Mason of Seminole, Oklahoma, one daughter, Monica Childers of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, step-son: Mike Mendenhall of Seminole, Oklahoma, four sisters: Margaret Scott of Seminole, June Hume of Sulphur, Oklahoma, Linda Barnes of Seminole, Oklahoma and Melba Gibbs of Mesquite, Texas, one brother, Terry Mason of Shawnee, Oklahoma.rnrnOne grandchild also survives him.rnrnHe is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wilbur Mason and sister, Peggy Dollarhide.rnrnGraveside services are scheduled for 10:00am, Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Little Cemetery with Tim Tate officiating.rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, 100 W.
