Genevieve "Ginny" Rosanna (Walker) Fish

Genevieve “Ginny” Rosanna (Walker) Fish, age 81, passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 12, 2020. She was born January 3, 1939 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents Leo Walker and Edna Mae (Coker) Walker. Genevieve was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. She was born and raised in Wewoka and then moved to Oklahoma City. She was a high school graduate.

Ginny worked at the Oklahoma Lung Association for five years and then Kerr McGee Oil Company where she worked as an administrative assistant for over twelve years until her retirement.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Oklahoma City for sixty years where she was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed Bible study, reading, writing, cooking and baking, family gatherings, sewing, going to movies and events and playing Nintendo with her grandsons. She loved her family and spending time with them. She loved her church family and serving the Lord. She would do anything as much as she could for her family. She was a great inspiration and a prayer warrior and will be missed by all who knew her.

Ginny is survived by daughters; Vicki Factor and Lisa Childers, both of Oklahoma City, her sister; Loretta Foster of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,  grandchildren; Micco Childers, Schuyler Deal, Selina Tofpi Barrot and Dylan Factor, great-grandchildren; Kai Barrot, Embry Byron Deal, Kaelan Barrot and Shiloh Walker Deal. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother; Glen Walker and her grandson; Christian Factor.

Ginny will be taken to Glorieta Baptist Church, 7308 S. Western Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for a wake service from  6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2020. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 15, 2020 at Glorieta Baptist Church with Leon Postoak and Ledtkey McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Casket bearers will be Schuyler Deal, Dylan Factor, Steve Goat, Joe Goat, Jesse Factor and Tim Deal. Honorary bearers will be Embry Deal, Kai  Barrot and Kaelan Barrot.

Funeral guests are limited to 50 in attendance at the service and guests are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
