Geneva Maxine (Brown) Larney, 85 year-old Shawnee resident passed from this life Friday, December 5, 2008 at her home in Shawnee. She was born April 2, 1923 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to parents John Brown and Minnie (Littlejim) Brown.rnrnGeneva married Lee Larney on June 1, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; he preceded her in death on November 10, 2000. She was a homemaker and a member of Hitchitee United Methodist Church. Geneva had lived most of her life in the Seminole and Shawnee area.rnrnSurvivors include five sons, Nathaniel Larney of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Walter Larney of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Alan Larney, Rocky Larney and Darrel Larney all of Shawnee, Oklahoma; seven daughters, Nevalee Deere, Billie Jean Grass, Flora Larney, and Jena Masquas all of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Harriette Starr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lonita Stewart of Little Axe, Oklahoma and Nema Faye Larney of Oklahoma; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; Geneva is also survived by a host of other family and friends.rnrnGeneva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters; one grandson; one great grandson and one great great grandson.rnrnA wake service will be held at Hitchitee United Methodist Church Dec. 7, 2008, Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. and Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 8, 2008 at Hitchitee United Methodist Church.
