Gene Allen Rippee, 70, longtime Seminole area resident died Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Gene was born February 29, 1940 in Hardin, Montana to David A. and Marjorie Kathryn (Maus) Rippee. His Mother, Marjorie and Stepfather Earl Jesser raised Gene. He married Janet Kay Davis in Shawnee, Oklahoma on March 13, 1961, to this union were born four children Donald, Gene, Darla Kay and Dale Edward and preceded in death by Diane Kathryn Rippee in 1983. They raised their children in Seminole and later moved to Bonham, Texas for eleven years, returning to Seminole in 2007. Gene worked in the oilfields and as a truck driver, retiring from Morgan Drive-a-way in Texas. He loved water skiing and hunting and fishing. His wife, Janet of the home, sons Donald and Dale and a daughter Darla and son-in-law Ernie Quitana survive him. He was also survived by his grandchildren: Brendan Pace, Morgan Quintana, Jordan Quintana, Tiffany Rippee Fowler, Ashley Rippee, Tanner Rippee, Christopher Rippee and Savannah Rippee. His sisters Betty Mons and Twin Sister Jeanette Christian both of Missouri survive him. His parents David and Irene Rippee and Marjorie and Earl Jesser and Mother and Father-in-law Maxine and Owen Davis preceded him in death. Funeral Services are planned for Monday, September 20, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Russell Vicars officiating.
