Longtime Pottawatomie County resident Gene Azlin passed away on Friday, May 30, 2008 at his home in Maud. rnrnHe was born on September 15, 1935 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Orville Clarence ?O.C.? and Florence (Davis) Azlin. rnrnHe married Mary Ann (Silas) in March of 1965 in Wewoka, Oklahoma, she preceded him in death. He worked in the shipping department at Big Yank in Wewoka for many years.rnrnHe is survived by three daughters; Linda Azlin and special friend Ed Brown of Maud, Oklahoma, Terri Colvin of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Vicki Kueneman of Maud, Oklahoma and one son; Jimmy W. Hank of Ponca City, Oklahoma, one brother, Orville Azlin, three sisters; Kathy Barnes, Ann Fesler and Pauline Azlin, two nieces; Rhonda Byerly and Beverly Azlin and two nephews; Steve Byerly and Robert Azlin. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Billy Colvin, Jimmy B. Hanks and wife Melissa, Jacob Vloedman, Chris Colvin and wife Melissa, Tara Lewis and husband Stacy, Jessica Farani and husband Joe, Eddie Hanks, and Garon Nelson, nine great grandchildren, Landon, Chandler and Kyla Colvin, Hannah, Izabelle and Michael Hanks and Heaven and Aden Bond and Bryler Lewis. rnrnHe is preceded in death by wife, Mary Ann Azlin on January 31, 2007, his parents, O.C. and Florence Azlin, grandparents, and sister, Ruby Janette.rnrnA Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the Maud Community Center with Miles Knutson officiating. rn Funeral Information: June 3, 2008, 2:00 AM
