Gaytha Lou Wright, 90 Gaytha Lou Wright, Tahlequah, Oklahoma resident, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the age of 90. Gaytha was born February 10, 1927 in Gray, Oklahoma to parents, Alton Murray Burns and Hazel (Littleton) Burns. Gaytha married Edwin Brice "Cotton" Wright in Tecumseh, Oklahoma on January 9, 1943. Gaytha was a homemaker for her family and the many children whom she and Cotton provided foster care for during the years.  She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Gaytha enjoyed traveling and she and Cotton were able to enjoy different cultures while living in southern Louisiana, Libya and Indonesia. Gaytha was a very active person and preferred outdoor activities to housework. She loved mowing her lawn and continued to do so until her 89th year when she fell and broke a hip.    Gaytha is survived by one son; Darryl Wright and his wife Judy of Lindsay, Oklahoma; one daughter, Connie Wright of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; three sisters, Karen Thompson of Edmond, Oklahoma, Sue Reed of Amarillo, Texas and Kathy Carter of Little Rock, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Dr. Casey LouJean Wright of Durant, Oklahoma and Courtney Dianne Langston and her husband Daniel of Chicago, Illinois; she was the legal guardian of Rob Carr, Becky McDaniel and Michelle Shepard all of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Gaytha was preceded in death by her parents; Alton and Hazel Burns;step-mother Ora Lee (Fitzpatrick) Burns; husband, Edwin Wright;  and two brothers, Franklin Claude Burns and Eugene Murray Burns. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
