Gaylan Lee (Belshe) Hathaway, 64, of Seminole, Oklahoma passed away, Friday, January 24, 2020. She was born on October 26, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Joel and Betty Belshe. Gaylan grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma area and was a member of the Special Olympics Programs and Class of 1974. In the 1980’s Gaylan was a church clown on the weekends at the Tri-City Church. Many will remember her as a member of the church choir and many young adult women will remember Gaylan fondly as Girl Scout Leader #112. She worked for Stars Juvenile Center for five years. She loved arts, crafts and her pets Oscar and Momma Kitty. Gaylan married her life love, Richard Hathaway in June of 1979. Richard survives her of the home. She is also survived by her sons; Jerry Williams and his wife Ronda of Del City, Oklahoma and their children , Trenton, Chole, Jordan, Paula and Tanner and Joel Belshe and his wife Chrissy of Seminole, Oklahoma and their children Joshua, Jacob, Jayson and Tracy, Dakota, Michael and Kimberly, her step son Ricky Hathaway of Missouri, one brother Johnny Belshe and his wife Debbie of Elk City, Oklahoma and her sister Shirley Powell and her husband Timothy of Seminole, Oklahoma, and twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one on the way, her uncle Robert Phillips and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Gaylan was also loved and called grandma by many children. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Memorial services are set for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Free Indeed Revival Ministry at 1114 East Chandler, Shawnee, Oklahoma with Guy Cagel officiating.
