Gary Allen Whitson Seminole resident Gary Allen Whitson passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 38. . He was born on September 10, 1971 in San Antonio, Texas to Gary Dean Whitson and Alice Louise (Noon).  Gary attended Konawa High School and then went on to Seminole State College.  He served in the Air Force Reserve where he was stationed at Tinker Air Force in Midwest City, Oklahoma.  He served on the Ada Fire Department as a fireman and also served as a police officer for the Konawa Police Department from April of 2008 to July of 2010.  He was currently working for Suddenlink on the Air Force Base in Lawton, Oklahoma.  He was a member of the Oak Avenue Baptist Church in Ada, Oklahoma. He leaves to cherish his memories two fathers, Jerry Mathews of Seminole and Gary Dean Whitson of Tennessee, two sons; Zax Baxley of Ada, Oklahoma, Casey Whitson of Ada, Oklahoma and three daughters; Brianne Baxley of Rogers, Arkansas, Kaitlyn Whitson of Ada, Oklahoma and Alicia Chambers of Ada, Oklahoma, he is also survived by two brothers, Kirk Whitson of Durant, Oklahoma and Spirit Sires of Seminole, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Mathews on September 6, 2007. The family has planned a visitation for Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel from 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. for friends and family.
