Gary Ralph McClaskey, 69, Maud, Oklahoma resident, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Gary was born on September 28, 1948 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Ralph Houston McClaskey and Edith (Holmes) McClaskey. Gary was a rancher and a tool pusher for oil well drilling contractors. Gary married Virginia Elizabeth (Grooms) McClaskey on November 22, 1967 in Fort Worth, Texas. Gary is survived by his wife, Virginia of the home, son and daughter-in-law Gary H. and Christy McClaskey of Maud, Oklahoma and daughters and sons-in-law Audra and Chris Bowles of Maud, Oklahoma and Shelly Maehler and her husband Dennis of Germany, his sister Sharon Choat and her husband Kenneth of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 5 grandchildren Savanna Jones, Sydney McClaskey, Shelby Bowles, Garrett Bowles and Pauline Maehler and one great grandchild, Elli Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Rita A. McClaskey. Viewing for Gary will be at Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home at 102 W. Monroe, Maud, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the First Baptist Church at 801 N. Green in Maud, Oklahoma, with Rev. Carl Whitfield and Bob Woods officiating. Burial will be at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Chris Bowles, Jake Jones, Clarence Hopper, Gene Ragan, Richard Rowley and Bill Smith. Honorary bearers will be Frank Brewer, Buddy Dodson, Cary Choat and Ronnie Stackhouse. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
