Gary Babb went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 3rd, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born in Seminole, OK in 1956 and later graduated from Bowlegs Public Schools in 1975. He married his high school sweetheart, Kathy Mills, in 1976. Gary began working as an electrician in 1976 and in 1977 he became a member of the Electricians Local Union 1141 until he retired. In 2002, he and Kathy started Babb Electric working as an electrical contractor, until retirement in 2019. He enjoyed consulting with his son, Beau, on his new business as he carried on the legacy of Babb Electric. Gary was one of the most knowledgeable and greatest electricians in the area!
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Mills Babb, of 47 years, daughter, April Babb and Tagan Eldred of Ada, son Beau and wife Maranda Babb of Ada, grandsons, Conner and Cade Baldridge, and Ledger Babb.
Surviving siblings include sisters, Carolyn and husband David Williams of Davis, OK, Patricia and husband Roger White of McCloud, OK, Gayla and husband Scott Palmer of Seminole, OK. Surviving brothers include, James Babb of Seminole, Dale and wife Norma Babb of Seminole, OK, Marty and wife Janet Babb of Ada, Keith and wife Donna Babb of Springer, OK, brother-in-law Louie Weaver and sister-in-law Dee Babb. Mother-in-law Rosiland Childers and spouse Ron, of Bowlegs, OK. Sister-in-law Tami and husband Eddie Stebbins of McAlester, OK. 34 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father, W.A. Babb, mother, Frances Babb, father-in-law Tommy Mills, brothers, Bobby and Jerry Babb, sister, Virginia Weaver, and sister-in-law Tori Mills.
He loved playing the guitar and singing. He also loved roping, ranching, fishing, the lake, and his recliner! His 3 grandsons made his eyes light up and boy was he proud to be their Papa! He was a provider to his family, an advisor, and a giver of laughter. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
