Gailia Marie Jackson, age 68, was called to be with the Lord on August 29, 2020 at St. Anthony Hospital ICU in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born April 27, 1952 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents Leslie Blakely and Shirley Jackson. After her mother passed away, she was raised by her grandmother “Mother”. She was a lifelong resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Gailia graduated in 1970 from Shawnee High School and attended college. She worked at First National Bank, TDK, Finley Cleaners and Firelake Casino in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was an outgoing person who loved her family very much. She always tried to help others. She was the lifetime secretary for Club-Essence Social and Charity Club of Shawnee and the Dunbar National Alumni Association. Nelson Chapel of Shawnee was her church home.

Those left to cherish Gailia’s memory are her sister-in-law Dorothy Jean Jackson of Earlsboro, Oklahoma and nieces and nephews; Misty and Taylor cox and Christian Brager, all of Seminole, Oklahoma, Chad McClain of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Keno Terry of Texas and a host of family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother; Reginald Jackson and her sister; Karen Jackson.

The funeral service for Gailia will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Michael Harris officiating.

The service for Gailia will be live streamed on the Swearingen Funeral Home Facebook page.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
