Frankie Gore

September 25, 1929 — June 13, 2010

Lifelong Seminole county resident Frankie “Shorty” Gore, 80 has gone to be with the Lord.  He was a loving Daddy and Grandpa. Frankie was born in Savanah, Oklahoma on September 25, 1929 to Monroe and Jewel Gore.  He married Margaret Ruth Bryant the mother of his children on March 23, 1955 in Wewoka, Oklahoma.  He lived in Clinton, Oklahoma for 20 years. Frank died on June 13, 2010 at his home in Wewoka, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was raised around New Model and Wewoka and went to school at New Model; he served in the Army. Frankie was a truck driver and mechanic all of his life, after retiring he worked from home doing mechanic work and small engine repair.  Several people around Wewoka at one time have brought their lawnmowers, car or anything else that needed to be fixed to “Shorty” and he would repair them. He loved camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his children and family get togethers. He also enjoyed sitting and shooting the bull with his friends.  He will be truly missed by all. Frankie is survived by his children, 9 daughters and 2 sons, Maggie and Richard Kilgore of Wewoka, Oklahoma.  Della and Dwain Pitts of St. Louis, Oklahoma, Brenda and Mike White of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, Hazel and Jim Jackson of Denison, Texas, Linda and Buddy Henington of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Frances and Tommy Monks of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, Kay Lee of Seminole, Eunice and Charley James of Seminole, Oklahoma and Margaret and Danny Choate of Wewoka, Oklahoma, two sons Frank “Buddy” Gore of Seminole and John Gore of Wewoka, Oklahoma.  Frank left behind 27 Grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and one on the way.  Companion of the home Flora Lou Smith and his beloved dog Molly also survive him. Other survivors include two sisters, Mildred Bryant of Wewoka, Oklahoma and Hazel Kendrick of Wilburton, Oklahoma and a host of nieces, nephews as well as many dear friends.  Thoses who precede Frankie in death are his mother and father, Monroe and Jewel Gore and wife Margaret Ruth Bryant, sister, Delores Jean Gore, granddaughter, Joanie Jean Mooney and two great grandsons, Michael Helt and Quinton Pitts Jr. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Pastor Guy Cagle officiating.  Frankie will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. Pallbearers will be: Charlie Pitts, Quinton Pitts, Stephen Kilgore, Richard Kilgore, Jr., Teally White, Michael Gore and David Gore.  Honorary Bearers will be: Billy Jack Lee, Danny Choate, Jr., Franklin Gore, Charles Dewayne “Boo” James, Korrey James and Frank Gore Jr. Funeral Information: June 16, 2010, 2:00 PM Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel located at 1001 N.
