Francisco Martinez Zapata

Francisco Martinez Zapata, 78, Seminole, Oklahoma resident, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018, in Seminole.  Francisco was born September 5, 1940 in Aguascalientes, Mexico to Gregoria Zapata Mendez and Alejandro Martinez Marques. Francisco was a plantsman at Millers Plant Farm from 1987 until 2002. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Seminole, Oklahoma. He is survived by his mother Gregoria Zapata Mendez, his children Alejandro Martinez Alonso, Maria Gregoria Martinez Alonso, Emma Laura Martinez Alonso, Irene Martinez Vargas, Maria de Jesus Martinez Vargas, Marta Martinez Vargas, Paco Martinez Vargas and Mauricio Martinez Vargas, two brothers; Jesus “Jesse” Martinez Zapata and Guadalupe Martinez Zapata, two sisters; Carmen Martinez Zapata and Teresa Martinez Zapata, and several  grandchildren. Wake and rosary services will be on Friday, November 16, 2018, from 5:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 811 West Wrangler Blvd. in Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Schwarz officiating. Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma is in charge of funeral arrangements.
