Longtime Seminole resident Frances Elizabeth (Clifton) Robertson passed away August 15, 2009 in Seminole at the age of 91. Frances was born on August 10, 1918 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma to Oren William and Nora Amanda (Vulgamore) Clifton. Frances lived in Seminole, Oklahoma most of her life, except for a short time when she and her husband worked in the California ship yards. She always had interesting stories to tell her grandchildren about her days working as a women welder. They moved back home, purchased land and raises their family here. She lived life to the fullest, serving in her church at Trinity Baptist, where she and her husband Rex were charter members. She also serv3ed many years in the school cafeteria, where she could be close to her children. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame at New Lima Public Schools in July of 2000. She loved her kids and grandskids, OU Sooners, and the Dallas Cowboys. She also loved to keep up with “Tiger Woods”. She has touched lives through school, church and even during her sickness she brought happiness to the people who she lovingly cared for at Pioneer Nursing Home. Her sense of humor, her great laugh and her big smile will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter and son-in-law: Kay and Bobby Azlin of Wewoka, Oklahoma and one sister Dora Moreland of Wewoka, Oklahoma. She is also survived by two grandsons, Ronnie Robertson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Cory Azlin of Seminole, Oklahoma, four granddaughters; Kathy and husband Mike Hale of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kelye and husband Brian Ellison of Dallas, Texas, Kiley and husband Billy Adams of Seminole, Oklahoma and Amanda and Jason Timberlake of Seminole, Oklahoma. Great grandchildren; Josh, Jake and Lacy Robertson all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jarrod and Nick Hale of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Reesee Ellison of Dallas, Texas, Brittnee Dunlap of Seminole, Oklahoma and Kyle Wells of Seminole, Oklahoma, Seth Moppin of Seminole, Oklahoma and one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Ron Duvall officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens located East of Seminole on Hwy 270. Pallbearers will be: Jirl McGinnis, Terry McGinnis, Dewey Lee, Bill Parsons, Chuck Anderson and Bill Wilson.
