Frances Mae (Harjo) Osborne

Frances Mae (Harjo) Osborne, age 76 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Chickasaw Medical Center in Ada, Oklahoma. A Wake service will be held at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa from 6:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016.  And, a second Wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at High Springs Church.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.  Dorsey Nero and Jimsey Harjo will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Cosar Family Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Travis Hunter, Keith Billie, Rick Pemberton, R.D. Coody, Kevin Chapman, and David Farmer.  Honorary pallbearers are Skip Foster, Eddie Barnett, Walter Coker, and George Harjo. Frances was born November 15, 1939 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Sa-che-me-che Harjo and Stella (Cosar) Harjo.  She enjoyed her family, going to church, singing Native Hymns, and making cowboy bread/biscuits for church. She is survived by her family, Becky Pemberton and husband Rick of Konawa, Oklahoma, Wanda Coody and husband, R.D. Coody of Konawa, Tonya Chapman and husband, Kevin of Konawa, Regina Chase the Bear and husband, Jerry of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Tisha Farmer and husband, David of Allen, Oklahoma, Keith Billie and wife, Renee of Konawa; three grandchildren, Warren Harjo, Colleen Harjo, and Terrance Harjo; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sa-che-me-che and Stella Harjo; her husband, Harper Osborne; her siblings, Dora Harjo, Diane Harjo, Amos Wolf and Henderson Harjo; and by her son, Ronnie Harjo.
