Forrest Wayne New, 88 year old Wewoka, Oklahoma resident, passed away September 30, 2019 at his home. He was born December 8, 1930 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma to parents George Harrison New and Ollie Maxine (Carney) New. He was a high school graduate. He was a farmer, cow herder and oil field worker. Forrest served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a machine gun operator and a sergeant. He married Mary Alice Pecore on June 23, 1973 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She took care of him the rest of his life even after they were divorced. He was also a 32 degree Mason. He is survived by his longtime friend and former spouse, Mary Alice New, and his last living sibling; Julia Fern Senters of Fairfield, Illinois, nieces; Colleen Senters, Linda Gore, Janice New, Phyllis M. New, Earline New, Bonnie Dismang and her husband Rob, Lynn (Lucas) Kersey and her husband Essary, nephews; Michael Senters, Allen Gore, Jim New, Nash New and his wife Betty, Neil New and his wife Carrie and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Stella Mildred Gore and her husband Ollie, Carl Edward New and his wife Loraine, Earl New and his wife Mary Pauline New, Kenneth O’Neil and his wife Ann, Norma Ester New and her husband Lee Carney and one stillborn baby. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, east of Seminole on Highway 270 with Tommy Azlin and Charles Troglin officiating.
