Flora Belle "Lily" Eakens, longtime Konawa resident, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008 at her residence in Konawa at the age of 77.rnrnShe was born December 17, 1930 in Rush Springs, OK to Omer Huel Long & Elen Victoria (Riley) Long. rnrnShe married George Otis Cowen on January 20, 1947 in Chickasha, OK and he preceded her in death on November 22, 1972. She later married Claude Eakens on June 14, 1989 in Gainesville, TX and he preceded her in death on September 17, 2001.rnrnShe was a loving homemaker and a member of the Konawa Pentecostal Holiness Church.rnrnShe enjoyed going to church, singing and playing her guitar.rnrnShe is survived by one daughter, Peggy Stinnett and husband Darrell of Konawa; two sons, Raymond Cowen of Okemah and Eddie Cowen of Choctaw;rnrntwo sisters, Laverne "Teddy" Hair of Hennessey, OK and Lillian Porter of Oklahoma City;rnrnfour grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.rnrnShe was also preceded in death by her parents, Omer Huel & Elen Victoria Long; four brothers, Harvey, Mack, Emit & Clarence Long and five sisters, Dorothy Vice, Lois Heatley, Audrey Heatley, Marie Lovett and Ora Cowen.rnrnFuneral services will be held Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa with Rev. Darrell Stinnett officiating and Rev.
