Faye Evelyn (Finch) Sherwood

Faye Evelyn (Finch) Sherwood, age 90 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church located at 126 N. Konawa Street in Konawa, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Rev. Mona Fulks will officiate and burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery.  Casket bearers are Ken Yott, Matt Dean, Kevin Lane, David Lane, Wayne Yott, and Waylon Yott. Faye was born December 31, 1925 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Sidney Albert Finch and Ethel (Harrison) Finch.  She married J. D. Sherwood March 29, 1952 in Konawa, and she was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Konawa.  Faye was self-employed as a painter and wallpaper hanger. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Yott and husband, Ken of Konawa; two grandchildren, Breanne Dean and husband, Matt of Konawa, and Samantha Yott also of Konawa; one great grandchild, Brielle Dean. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Ethel Finch; husband J. D. Sherwood on July 21, 2010; six brothers, Clevern Finch, Dell Finch, Chester Finch, B. A. Finch, Lonnie Finch, and A. J. Finch; two sisters, Nellie Mosely and Audrey Black; and one daughter, Marilyn Roden. Funeral Information: October 5, 2016, 10:30 AM First Pentecostal Church of God 126, N.
