Everett R. Williams, Sr. 89, Sasakwa resident died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the Wewoka Care and Rehab Center in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Mr. Williams was born August 6, 1920 in Lamar, Missouri to Ossie and Laura (Clingenpeel) Williams. Mr. Williams moved here five years ago from Arkansas and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Sasakwa. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a ranch hand in Arkansas for most of his adult life. A son, Raymond Williams, Jr., three daughters, Janie Robertson of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, Catherine Frusher of New York and Betty Jo Adkins of Ohio, survives him. Three grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive him. His parents, his wife Evey Williams and a grandson Travis Reed, preceded him in death. Burial will take place later this week at the Reed Cemetery in Story, Arkansas, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
