Everett Leon Goodnight, 75 Everett Leon Goodnight, former Potawatomi county resident passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma at the age of 75. Everett was born October 2, 1938 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents, Everett Walter Goodnight and Lorene (Quinn) Goodnight. Everett moved to Seminole from Pottawatomie county in 1973, living here until 2011 when he moved to Weleetka, Oklahoma. Everett lived every boys dream and was a full time cowboy and of the Baptist faith. Everett is survived by two sons, Howard Goodnight and his wife Dana of Weleetka, Oklahoma, Butch Newell and his wife Renia of Wewoka, Oklahoma; three daughters, Darla Fish and her husband Roy of Morris, Oklahoma, Patsie Newell of Seminole, Oklahoma and Darci Williams and her husband Jason of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Gene Goodnight and his wife Linda of Seminole, Oklahoma; one sister, Glenda Kennedy of Shawnee, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Jeana, Andy, Raleynn, Cory, Zachary, Dillon, Cortney, Kaden; seven great grandchildren, Joe, Waylon, Avery, Judah, Amara, Claire and Davis. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Walter and Lorene Goodnight; his first wife, Georgia Marie Goodnight who passed away in 1972; brothers, William Arthur Goodnight, Jimmy Earl Goodnight and great grandson, Joseph Kayne Matthews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Williamson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Keith Quinalty, Andy Lucas, Simy White, Nick Arthur, Cody Goodnight, and Bryan Goodnight. Honorary bearers are Dewayne Goodnight, Bill Goodnight, Travis Goodnight, Jimmy Goodnight, Jr. and Bill Estep.
