Longtime Seminole resident, Evelyn Stackhouse, passed away, Thursday, August 10, 2006 at the age of 90. She was born January 16, 1916 in Sardis, Oklahoma.rnrnShe has lived in Seminole since 1948 moving here from McAlester, Oklahoma.rnShe married Byron Curtis Stackhouse on September 1, 1940 in Atoka, Oklahoma. rnrnShe is survived by her half-brother, Harold Thompson of Kiowa, Oklahoma, nieces, Lacy Cooper of Atoka, Oklahoma, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cooper Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and longtime Friends; Helen Mullen of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Billie Richardson of Seminole, Oklahoma and the Seminole Church of Christ Family.rnrnShe is preceded in death by her parents & her husband, Byron Curtis Stackhouse on April 5, 1991.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 10:30am, Monday, August 14, 2006 at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Christ Stinnett officiating.
