Evelyn Ramey

Evelyn Williams Ramey, Age 79 Evelyn was born in Oilton, Texas on October 30, 1935 to Merle and Everett Williams. She passed away in Oklahoma City on May 9, 2015. Evelyn loved to read, craft and cook. For 7 years she worked as a cook at St Crispin’s Conference Center in Wewoka, a job she loved very much. She retired in 2003 and she and her husband Ray started a new adventure guarding oil field gates in southern Texas. This gave Evelyn the opportunity to go back to the places she knew as a child which she greatly enjoyed. After the death of her husband, Evelyn moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma where she was closer to her daughters. Evelyn is survived by her children Yvonne Clark of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Virginia (Ginger) Hulsey of Luther, Oklahoma and Gene Rutherford of Sherwood OR.. Evelyn is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Christopher McKay, Cari McKay Flurry, Mindy Roberts Hudson, Friday Roberts Carter, Lorri Clark, Kasey Rutherford and Chase Rutherford and 8 great grandchildren, Dylan McKay, Tanner Hudson, Jada Roberts, Christian Roberts, Berlin Flurry, Tucker Hudson, Lance Carter and Jordan Carter. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Albert Ray Ramey, mother Merle Hildebrand McPhilliamy, father Everett Williams and sister Ruth Williams Langston. Evelyn requested no service, therefore the family will host a remembrance ceremony at Little Cemetery at 12:00 noon Saturday May 30, 2015.
