Ethan Deer, 89, longtime Seminole resident died, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Holdenville General Hospital. Ethan was born June 29, 1925 in Cromwell, Oklahoma to Munna (Hill) Deer and Alfred Deer. Mr. Deer was a retired purchasing agent of supplies and property for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Indian Health Services. Mr. Deer was a Mason, 32 degree Shriner and member of Abdallah Shriners. He was also a member of Little Quarsarty Church in Cromwell, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife Lou (Fife) Deer of Seminole, Oklahoma, two daughters Lisa Dean and Jamie Randolph both of Lawrence, Kansas, two sisters Betty Shannon of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Juanita Yahola of Hollywood, Florida, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Casket bearers will be Tristin Green, Nolen Jones, Ethan Randolph, Preston Randolph, Jeremy Dean, Peyton Randolph. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Dr. Eugene Wilson and Rev. Fred Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at the Kernal Family Cemetery West of Seminole. Wake services will be held at 6:00- 7:30 P.M., Friday December 19, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
