Funeral services for former Seminole resident Estelle Blackwood Sutton are scheduled at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery, South of Seminole. Visitation for Mrs. Sutton will begin Wednesday, June 20, 2007.rnrnMrs. Sutton died June 18, 2007 in Picayune, Mississippi where she had resided for the past eight years.rnrnEstelle was born December 16, 1919 in Howard County, Arkansas. She moved with her family to Seminole County, Oklahoma as a small child. She attended Vamoosa schools and married Clyde Sutton in 1942. They moved to Seminole in 1947 where they raised their family, and she lived for more than fifty years. She was a member of Harvey Road Baptist Church.rnrnMrs. Sutton was a homemaker, an avid gardener, and worked for many years at the Miller Plant Farm in Seminole.rnrnShe was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Blackwood and Sallie Aylor Blackwood, six brothers, and four sisters. Also, preceding her in death were her husband Clyde, and her son, Ronnie Sutton. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Sutton McKellip, and son-in-law Douglas McKellip both of Picayune, Mississippi, six grandchildren,rnHope McKellip Drummond and Rodney McKellip both of Picaynue; Sasa McKellip of Birmingham, Alabama; Angelica Sutton Hernandez of Phoenix, Arizona; Jessica Sutton of Alexandria Bay, New York; and Nancy Sutton of Mexico City.
