Erman Nute Crawford, 94, Edmond, Oklahoma resident died Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Mr. Crawford was a longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident. He was born December 14, 1921 in Clarkridge, Arkansas, to Melvin Henry Crawford and Almeda A. (Kimberling) Crawford. Erman was a retired carpenter and had worked for Flint Lumber Company for many years. Mr. Crawford also worked for Seminole Public Schools for several years. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He was attached to the 4th TC Squadron 62nd TC Group, serving in Italy and North Africa. He attained the rank of Corporal. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. He married Mildred Evelyn (Cantrell) Crawford on August 9, 1947, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Mr. Crawford is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mildred Crawford of Edmond, Oklahoma, two sons; Larry Crawford and his wife, Shirley, of Edmond, Oklahoma and Darrell Crawford of Owasso, Oklahoma, one sister Lucille Crawford Parks of Mountain Home, Arkansas, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parent’s, one sister, Eunice I. Crawford and a brother, Marvin J. Crawford. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Little Cemetery. His grandsons; Robert Crawford, Ron Crawford, Blake Crawford, Richard Crawford and David Crawford will be casket bearers.
