Eric Pyle “Packy” Haney,44 Eric Pyle “Packy” Haney, born in Seminole on March 24, 1969 to parents Ernie Pyle Haney and Dora Bear Haney passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 44. After graduating from High School, Packy worked for Coates Roofing, CoJac and Citizen Potawatomi Nation. He was a member of the Hitchitee United Methodist Church in the Strother Community, Hecete Band and the Seminole Nation. Packy was married to Redena Sue Colungo. Packy is survived by his wife Redena of the home; two daughters, Micah Haney of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Raley Haney of Shawnee, Oklahoma and two brothers, Tracy Haney of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Stacy Haney of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Packy was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Dora Haney and brother, Vincent Haney. Funeral service for Packy will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Hitchitee United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick Deer officiating. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Alex Miller, Alvin Miller, Colton Haney, Jordan Haney, Gerald Williams, Justin Boone. Honorary bearers are Roman Bear, Mike Bear, Sean Lefthand, Ryan Bear, Wiley Bear, Jr., Jake Thorpe, Zane Thorpe, Connor Haney and Christian Tiger. Packy will be at the Swearingen Funeral Home for visitation from 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 until 11:00 a.m., where he will be taken to Hitchitee United Methodist Church where a wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m.. Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
