Ennis “Peewee” Buxton. He was 76, died at his home Saturday, May 22, 2021. He was born and raised in Starks, Louisiana and moved to Seminole in 2002. Married to Billie Thompson in 2003.
He worked as tugboat captain for over 25 years for various companies and retired from Kirby Transportation in 2016. After he retired, he got into the cattle business until 2018-2019 until he could no longer care for his cattle. He enjoyed working cattle, bailing hay, and spending time with his family.
His parents were Ennis and Polly Buxton, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his sisters, Jeanette Buxton Sanders, Fannie Mae Rainwater Buxton, as well as Wayne Buxton. He is survived by Sony Buxton, Ricky Buxton, Dennis Buxton, Robin Buxton, stepdaughter Christine Tansley, close friend Angela Crouse, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is set-up May 26, from 4 to 6 PM at the Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole. The funeral is set for 2 PM Thursday, May 27.
