Emmitt James Williams, 75, longtime Seminole resident died Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Emmitt was born November 21, 1936 in Lima, Oklahoma to Hubbard and Lula Bell (Mills) Williams. Emmitt worked at Padgett Chevrolet for over 35 years and Goff Industries for 12 years before retiring. Emmitt married Beatrice Jones on October 10, 1957 in Seminole, Oklahoma. His wife of 55 years, Beatrice Williams, of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sisters Lolita O Guinn of Wewoka, Oklahoma and Thelma Reese of Seminole, Oklahoma survive Emmitt. His parents, his sisters Norma Jean Williams, Alice Buckner, Geraldine Smith and Wilhelma Newton, preceded him in death. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Pastor Larry Payne will officiate at the services. Casket bearers will be Chauncey Cravens, Reginald Knighton, Sr., Alonzo Newton, Gilbert Reese, Troy Newton, Mark Reese and Kelvin Reese. Honorary Bearers will be Anthony Louie, Bryton Cravens, Shey Knighton, Jayce Cravens, Damon Cravens, Dake Reese, Jake Reese, Eddie Louie Jr., and Alvin Fabre, Jr. Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
