Elwyn Lonnie Rainwater, 63, longtime Seminole County resident, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Elwyn was born April 2, 1951 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Jewell Nadine (Pruett) and Chester Otto Rainwater. Elwyn attended and graduated from New Lima High School in 1969. He was a plumber and had worked with his father in the family business, Rainwater Plumbing Company in Wewoka, Oklahoma for many years. He will always be remembered as a good natured person, easy going and kind to all. He loved the outdoors and watching old western movies, especially John Wayne. He loved to follow OU Football and annual softball finals. He is survived by three sisters, Sharon Campbell and her husband Charles of Eufaula, Okla., Marilyn Rainwater of Seminole, Oklahoma and Wanette Coker and her husband Boyd of Checotah, Oklahoma and a brother Rollie Rainwater of Seminole, Oklahoma, along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
