Elsie Inez (Sims) Castor, 105 year old lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, “or as she would say, I am 105 and 4 months into my 106th year”. Went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in Jenks, Oklahoma. She was born March 25, 1911 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, Charles Henry “Charlie” Sims and Bessie Mae (Moody) Sims. On October 22, 1930, Elsie married Ralph Eugene Castor, who worked for Sinclair Oil Company in Seminole. Elsie was a homemaker, and a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Little, Oklahoma. Elsie leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Ralph Eugene Castor, Jr. of Seminole, Oklahoma, one daughter, Beverly Karen (Castor) Burns and her husband, Tommy of Jenks, Oklahoma, two granddaughters, Karen (Burns) Carpenter and her husband, Darrin of Jenks, Oklahoma, Kami (Burns) Snowbarger and her husband, Tadd of Jenks, Oklahoma, four great-grandchildren, Makenzie Carpenter, Cooper Carpenter, Leah Snowbarger, Kellan Snowbarger, and a host of other family and dear friends. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Eugene Castor who died October 14, 1980, by two brothers, Irral Otto Sims, Charles Merle Sims, by three sisters, Jewel Mae (Sims) Porter, Opal Ruth (Sims) Malone, and Hazel Eleanor (Sims) McCanless. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Church of Christ in Little, Oklahoma with Charlie Kymes officiating the service. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole. Casket Bearers will be Elsie’s nephews, Mike Porter, Pat Porter, Charles Sims, Johnny Malone, Jimmy Malone and Eric Malone. Honorary Bearers who are also nephews will be, Jimmy McCanless, Harold Sims, Roy Sims and Starr Sims. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
