Lavon Schulze, longtime Seminole County resident passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.rnrnMrs. Schulze was born December 21, 1929 in Cushing, Oklahoma to parents Clyde and Jewell (Bilke) Meyers. She moved to Seminole from Cushing in 1963.rnrnMrs. Schulze was a legal secretary for Bishop-Wantland Law Office, Gipson, Johnston, McMains Law Office and Kevin Walker. Mrs. Schulze also worked as an editor at the Cushing Daily Citizen.rnrnShe was a member of the St. Marks Episcopal Church and was involved with the Food Bank for many years.rnrnMrs. Schulze was preceded in death by her husband Jim, and son Ted, and brothers, Leon and Bill Meyers.rnrnLavon is survived by son Cliff Schulze of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, three sisters-in-law: Nova Meyers of Cushing, Oklahoma and Michelle Meyers of Aurora Grande, California, and Sela Schulze of Durant, Oklahoma. She is also survived by brother-in-law George and his wife Eileen Schulze. rnrnShe is also survived by three granchildren: Zach Schulze of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Stephen Schulze of Goldsby, Oklahoma, and Melissa Schulze of Shawnee, Oklahoma. rnrnMemorial services are planned for Friday, January 25, 2008 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church at 11:00 A.M. Jim Knowles will be officiating.
