Longtime Seminole resident Ellis "Eugene" Smith passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at his home at the age of 65.rn rnHe was born on April 6, 1941 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Walter Lee and Melvina (Bailey) Smith. He married Jennifer Sharon (Eskue) Smith on August 11, 1962 in Dexter, New Mexico. rn rnHis parents and three brothers: George, Austin and Willard Smith precede him in death.rn rnHe is survived by his wife Sharon Smith of the home, two sons: Carl Smith and wife Becky of Maud, and Shawn Smith of the home, two daughters: Melinda Spears and husband Keith of New Lima, and Tina Deatherage of Seminole, three brothers: Lindel Smith and wife Lois of Bowlegs, Weldon Smith and wife Joann of Seminole, and G.C. Smith and wife Donna of Maryland, three sisters: Mildred Wood and husband Lonnie of New Mexico, Hazel Williams of Henryetta, and Helen Tawney and husband Chuck of Maryland. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Brandy Burkhardt and husband Branden, Monica Fletcher and husband Shae, Aaron Smith, Desiree Deatherage, Adam Deatherage and Colin Deatherage and two great grandchildren: Christian and Shaelynn Fletcher.rn rnGraveside services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at Little Cemetery with Chris Stinnett officiating.rn Funeral Information: February 20, 2007, 2:00 AM
