Ellie Mae Violet (Hensley) Finch

Ellie Mae Violet (Hensley) Finch, age 91 and a life-long resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Valley View Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.  Burial will follow at Konawa City Cemetery.  Mary Ann Dillon will officiate.  Visitation is scheduled for Thursday and Friday. Ellie was born on July 27, 1921 in Konawa to Ollie Rice “Dick” Hensley and Maud Louisa Hensley.  She married Lonnie W. Finch in Konawa in 1940.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Nazerene Church of Konawa.  She married Ralph E. Sparks, Sr. in 1999.  She is survived by one sister-in-law, Elsie Hensley of Yuma, Arizona, and one grandson, Dow Brewer of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Maud Hensley; her first husband, Lonnie W. Finch and second husband, Ralph E. Sparks, Sr.; one daughter, Linda Brewer; three brothers, Jesse Phelps Hensley, Clell F. Hensley, and Elzo Joseph Hensley; and five sisters, Martha Francis Sparks, Ollie Lee Knoll, Clara Iowa Adams, Willie Lavon Hensley, and Jackie Ruth Rounsaville.
