Ella Faye McAlister, 70, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away, Friday July 30, 2021 at Saint Anthony’s Hospital-Shawnee. Ella was born on May 7, 1951 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Jim Bayles and Nora Virginia (Cowens) Bayles Taylor. Ella grew up and spent most of her life in Atoka, Oklahoma and worked as a nurse’s aide in Coalgate, Oklahoma for several years before moving to Seminole, Oklahoma.
Ella was retired from nursing and enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, going to garage sales, taking care of anyone who needed help, spending time with her grandbabies and great grandbaby, and her tattoos. The family has many fond stories and loving memories of Ella.
Ella was preceded in death by her husband; Howard Francis McAlister on June 5, 2020, her parents and one son Scott Potter.
Ella leaves to cherish her memory, her sons; Harvey D. Potter of Clayton, Oklahoma, Timothy G. Potter of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Douglas R. Potter and his wife Crystal of Seminole, Oklahoma and her daughter Linda M. Martin and her husband Joseph Martin of McLoud, Oklahoma, 10 grandchildren: Alex Potter, Hunter Martin, John Burnside and wife LaCinda Burnside, Hailey Fowler, Samual Martin, Heavenly Potter, Dilan Potter, Bobby Potter, Cali Lackey, numerous adopted grandchildren one great grandchild; Karsyn Raeligh Ella Burnside, and 4 adopted great grandchildren and many friends who loved her very much.
The family requests that anyone that attends the service and has a tattoo, if it is an appropriate tattoo in an appropriate location, please let it be seen in honor of her love for tattooing.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Little Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Jeff Nance officiating.
Casket bearers will be Mitch Carter, Dayton Carter, John Burnside, Richard Phillips, Daniel Clark, Dilan Potter and Honorary bearers will be Joseph Martin, Timothy Bentley and Alex Potter.
