Ella Jean "Jeanie" (Harrison) Brewer

Ella Jean (Harrison) "Jeanie" Brewer , age 71 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord on August 16, 2022 at her home with her family around her.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, and Tommy Jesse will officiate.  Viewing will be Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jeanie was born in Konawa to Jessie “Kennith” Harrison and Jewell “Dean” (Hudson) Harrison on August 7, 1951.  She attended school at Vamoosa until the eleventh grade, and she graduated in 1969 from Classen High School in Oklahoma City.  She graduated from Byng Votech to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.  Jeanie married Roger Lee Brewer August 9, 1968 at Vamoosa Baptist Church.   She was a member of the Vamoosa Baptist Church and played the piano there from the age of nine until she got married.  She and Roger owned and operated the B&B Auction in Shawnee.   Jeanie worked in nursing for years and was also a bookkeeper and a seamstress.  Jeanie loved to collect Precious Moments figurines, and to do crafts. Jeanie also enjoyed reading books, doing word searches, and water skiing.  She also loved knitting, crocheting, canning vegetables, and gardening.  Jeanie was best known for her canned pickles.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Roger Brewer of the home; one daughter, Cinda and Bo Honsinger of Konawa; one daughter-in-law, Kristel Brewer of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Corey, Maegan and Kendra; three great grandchildren, Nala, Cora, and Luca; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gordon Brewer, and her parents, Kennith and Dean Harrison.
