Elizabeth Anne “ Betty “ Franklin, 80, longtime Seminole resident died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Betty was born in Seminole on February 4, 1933 to Kenneth Clinton and Bernice Sally (Gates) Higdon. Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Seminole and was retired from the Seminole Municipal Hospital where she was the Assistant Dietary Supervisor for many years. Betty is survived by her daughter Gina Franklin of Seminole, Oklahoma, and her son John Eric Franklin of Indianola, Oklahoma Funeral services will be held, Friday, November 8, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, with Rev. Gary O. Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
