Elfreeda LaRue Carter,78 Elfreeda LaRue Carter a lifetime Seminole county resident passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 78. Elfreeda was born on November 3, 1933 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, Blanton Henry Hill, Sr. and Iva Ramona (Rowland) Hill. Elfreeda worked at Nutrition Educator from 1999 to 2002, New Lima Schools as a Cafeteria Director, Doyles Quick Stop, The Employment Office and Gibson Grocery. Elfreeda was of the Christian Faith. She married Willie Bob Carter Sr. who preceded her in death. Elfreeda, is survived by three sons; Willie Bob Carter, Jr. of Seminole, Oklahoma, Roger Carter of Wichita, Kansas and Irvin Carter of Seminole, Oklahoma, seven daughters; Kaye Carter of Greensboro, North Carolina, Rebecca Brown of Seminole, Oklahoma, Iva Carter of McLoud, Oklahoma, Ethel Thomas of Seminole, Oklahoma, Dolores Pittman of McLeansville, North Carolina, LaDonna Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Roberta Phillips of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and one brother Blanton H. Hill, Jr. of Seminole, Oklahoma. Elfreeda is also survived by 26 grandchildren; Brian Bruce and Vashawnda Carter, Robert and Roberta Reed, Karla and Broc Carter, Earl Yarbrough, Jr., Christopher, Rachel, Whitney, Breanna, Jacqueline, Lori, Kaylyn, Abram and Aaron Thomas, Gabriel and Samara Pittman, Jasmine and Alicia Smith and Alexis, Zarria, Terry and Kariah Phillips and 30 great grandchildren. Elfreeda was preceded in death by her parents; Blanton Hill, Sr. and Iva Ruth Hill, sister, Dolores J. Andrews, two brothers, James Hill and Modesta Hill and daughter, Debra Carter-Reed. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church of Bowlegs, Oklahoma with Pastor Willie Reynolds and Pastor John Stewart officiating. Burial will take place at Lima Cemetery, Seminole County, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Terry Phillips, Sr., Terry Phillips, Jr., Herman Smith, Charles Pittman, William Brian Carter, Malcolm Hill. Honorary bearers are: Blanton Henry Hill, Jr. and Charles Dodson. The family would like to thank everyone for the kind gestures during this time.
