Eleanor Elizabeth (DeFore) Grimsley

Eleanor Elizabeth (DeFore) Grimsley, age 72 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Ada Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma. A private family memorial service is planned for a later date. Eleanor was born in Macon, Georgia, to Albert DeFore and Josephine (Morgan) DeFore.  She worked as a desk clerk for the motel industry.  She moved to Konawa ten years ago.  Eleanor loved puzzles and western movies. She is survived by four sons, Ricky Grimsley of Edgewater, Florida, David Grimsley of Milledgeville, Georgia, Albert Grimsley of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Jonathan Grimsley, of Konawa; one daughter, Cherry Bennett of Konawa; five sisters, Gail Jones of Byron, Georgia, Joyce Skelly of Byron, Georgia, Cathryn Boynton of Flintstone, Georgia, Kay Sharpe of Buford, Georgia, and Francis Curl of Canton, Georgia; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Josephine DeFore; one brother, George DeFore; one grandson, “Little Al”, and one great grandchild.
