Eldon Myrick, 53, of Seminole, Oklahoma died Saturday, October 25, 2008 in New York City, New York while on a business trip for his company Fairbanks-Morse Engine, of Houston, Texas where he was employed as a Field Service Engineer.rnrnEldon was born May 19, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico to Eugene Russell and Nellie Elizabeth (White) Myrick. Eldon grew up in Liberal, Kansas where he attended public school and graduated from Liberal High School, where he was very active and excelled in sports. rnrnEldon had many interests, he enjoyed fishing with his wife Kathy, was a huge Nascar fan of # 24 Jeff Gordon. He enjoyed spending time and visiting with two sons Jared and Ryan. He loved the outdoors. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany in the Tank Corp, from 1975 to 1978. and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He also attended Johnson Church of God North of Shawnee, Oklahoma in the Johnson Community, and had lived in the Seminole area the past 8 years.rnrnHe met and married Kathy June Hall and was married on July 22, 2005 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.rnrnEldon is survived by his parents Dick and Nellie Myrick of Seminole, OklahomarnHis wife, Kathy June Myrick of Seminole, Oklahoma, two sons, Jared Steven Myrick and Ryan Russell Myrick of Maryland, one Daughter, Amanda Scheer of Seminole, Oklahoma, three brothers, Jerry Wayne Myrick of Washington, David Leon Myrick and Ricky Eugene Myrick both of Midwest City, Oklahoma. Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins also survive him.rnrnHe is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Orin White and Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Myrick. rnrnService will be held at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma, Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Charles Higgins, officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnCasket Bearers will be Jared Myrick, Ryan Myrick, Dustin Myrick, Jerry Myrick, David Myrick and Ricky Myrick.
