Effie Guyton

Effie Leota Guyton, 81  Effie Leota Guyton, 81 year old Seminole county resident, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 at her home.  Effie was born November 20, 1934 in Braggs, Oklahoma to parents, Bettis White and Flora (Brewer) White and graduated from Braggs High School in 1953.  Effie married Edgar C. Guyton May 14, 1954 in Braggs, Oklahoma. She was a housewife, LPN and a member of the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church. Effie loved her grandchildren, traveling with her husband, whether it was welding or fishing and she enjoyed her church family. Effie is survived by her husband, Edgar C. Guyton of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sons, Eddie Guyton, of West Valley City, Utah and Eric “Rick” Guyton, Sr. of Allen, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Effie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Opal White and two brothers, John White and R.E. White. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating. Burial will take place at South Bethel Cemetery, Braggs, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Eric Guyton, Jr.; Jayson Kendrick, Craig Quinalty, Michael Guyton, Charlie Bowden and Dean Estes.
