Edward “Ed” Lee Wilson of Seminole, Oklahoma (formerly of Magnolia, Texas, Ada, Enid and Waynoka, Oklahoma) went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 20, 2015, at his home south of Seminole. He was born, November 17, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri to Walter and Stella Marie (Dolly) Neff Wilson. Ed was a master plumber by trade and a tireless servant of God by choice. Over the years he served as Grand Master of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Enid, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Enid, Oklahoma; First Baptist Church of Ada, Oklahoma and the Spring Baptist Church of Spring, Texas, where he taught 2 year-olds and was known as the “biggest 2-years old in the church”. Ed was best known by his corny sense of humor, his loving, giving and cheerful spirit, his genuine love of others and life in general. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Akins Wilson of Seminole: his sons Edward Wilson, Jr. and his wife Deborah, of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Joseph Wilson and wife Yayoi, of Enid, Oklahoma; Brian Wilson of Wewoka, Oklahoma and daughter, Amanda Wilson of Spring, Texas, and “ other son” John Teddrick of Tars, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by a brother, Richard Wilson and his wife, Mary of Clarion, Pennsylvania and a step –sister, Claudette Pierce of Baltimore, Ohio; five grandchildren, one great granddaughter and a multitude of nephews, nieces and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his twin brother and sister Billy Joe and Anna May; his brother, Kenneth Wilson, his sister, Leona Howell; his brother-in-law, Carroll Pierce: his mother, Stella Neff Wilson Wooley; his step-father, “ Poppy” Claude Wooley and his father, Walter Wilson. A service of Celebration will be held at the Trinity Baptist Church south of Seminole, on old highway 99 South, on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. will burial to follow at Little Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Joseph, Jr; Andrew, Mathew, and Christian Brett Wilson; his neighbor Austin Marquis; and Tim Akins. Alternate pallbearers will be his sons, Brian, Edward Jr. and Joseph Wilson and his brother-in-law Charles Grant. Honorary bearers will be Jacey Wilson, Lani Wilson and Iceylnn Wilson.
