Edna “Cleria” Robins, age 85 of Seminole, transitioned into Eternity on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. She was the fourth of eight children born to Odie Wortham and Icelena Mustin-Wortham in Arbeka, Oklahoma. Edna attended school in Arbeka and graduated from Douglas High School in Wewoka. In 1960, Edna married Lindburg Robins in St. Louis, Missouri. From this union, two children were born: Lynn “Renado” and Lynetta. Earlier in her life, Edna was a member of the Arbeka C.M.E. church under J.P. Walker and later joined Galilee Baptist Church in Seminole under Rev. L.T. Crawford Sr. She spent the remainder of her years as a member of the First Baptist Church of Seminole under Nick Atyia. Our Mother had a gentle and precious spirit. She loved all of her relatives and friends, both far and near. She had an incomparable love for her two children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed attending the Seminole Senior Citizen lunch program with her friends, going to Boley and eating chicken feet. Mom loved to cook, dance and listen to BB King music. She also had a favorite Blues song that she often sang, “Things I Used to Do”. You may hear her sing a short portion of this song in a video on “YouTube”, just type in Edna Robins and click on her picture. Edna was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: William Wortham, L.D. Wortham and Namond Wortham. Those remaining to cherish her memories are her children; Lynn Robins and Lynetta Robins of Seminole, 8 grandchildren; Terran, Randall, Jr., LaRanda, Derek, Shanado, Tyreek, Erika and Treya, 16 great-grandchildren; her sisters; Thirkield O’Guinn, Callie Gilbert and Arlean Wortham; her brothers; James Wortham (Jean) and Jimmy Wortham and a beloved host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation for Edna will be from 8-5 on Thursday and Friday, April 16 and 17 and 8-12, Saturday, April 18. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, east of Seminole on Highway 270. Rev. Willie Reynolds and Rev. Tony Watts will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be; Terran Johnson, Randall Johnson, Jr., Preston Wortham, Donell Wortham and Kenneth Gilbert. Due to the Covid19 pandemic, the CDC recommends that only 10 people at a time gather at the graveside and that all others view the service from their vehicles.
