Eddie Lee Duck, lifelong Konawa area resident, died Friday, February 16, 2007, at the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City, at the age of 79. He was born on September 7, 1927 in Konawa to Bill & Lillie (Payne) Duck. He served in the US Air Force. Ed married Nancy (Barnett) on March 13, 1969 in Westminister, CA. He worked as a police officer, oilfield worker, farmer and owned a service station. Ed enjoyed raising watermelons. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Konawa and the Disabled American Verterans. rnHe is survived by his wife Nancy Duck of the home; three sons, Steve Duck of Del City, Eddie Duck, Jr. of Noble and Kevin Duck of Konawa; three brothers, Jim Duck of Konawa, Claud Duck of Shawnee and Johnny Duck of Earlsboro; two sisters, Billie Crownover of Jones and Anna Roe of Konawa; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Snow, Johnny Duck, Brandon Duck, Denise Duck, Chris Duck, Katlynn Duck, Ashley Duck and Barrett Duck; six great-grandchildren, Logan Snow, Lakin Snow, Seth Duck, Brise Duck, Denver Duck, Tyler Duck, Nathyn Duck, Justyn Duck and Austin Duck. rnHe was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold Duck and one sister, Geraldine Meadows. rnFuneral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ in Konawa with Carl Wills, Richard Winters and Frank Brewer officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Carl Wyatt, Burnus Fisher, Mike Boren, Jim Lowe, Danny Clayton and Gerald Jackson.
