Doyle McCracken

Doyle Ray McCracken, 81, Maud resident, died , Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Maud, Oklahoma. Doyle was born December 24, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lena (Ruth) and Floyd Hamilton McCracken. Doyle came to the Seminole and Maud area 35 years ago from Meeker, Oklahoma. Mr. McCracken was a minister and a bricklayer during his working years. Doyle married Mildred “Sue” Cripps on October 14, 1958 in Durant, Oklahoma. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years,  Mildred “Sue” McCracken of the home in Maud, Oklahoma; five sons, Terry Lee McCracken and his wife Terry of Maud, Daniel McCracken and his wife Kandi of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Johnnie  McCracken and his wife Shelia of Konawa, Oklahoma, Barry and Shannon McCracken of Maud, Oklahoma, Samuel McCracken and his wife Cathy of Fittstown, Oklahoma, his two daughters, Sandra Harris and her husband Glenn of St. Louis, Oklahoma and Sheila Myers of Anderson, California, his grandchildren, Brad and Ginger Harris of Muse, Oklahoma, Terry Jr. and Kellie McCracken of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Sonya and Chad Fekin of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Bobby and Jill McCracken of Paden, Oklahoma, Josh McCracken of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Tisha Messinger of Holdenville, Oklahoma, Christopher McCracken of Norman, Oklahoma, Dale Lynn McCracken of Arkansas, Laken and James Tinkler of Wetumka, Oklahoma, Malachi McCracken of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Heaven McCracken of Maud, Oklahoma, Misty Templeman of Meeker, Oklahoma, Johnathan and Victoria McCracken of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Terry Wayne McCracken of Maud, Oklahoma, Destiny McCracken of Tracy, California, Blake McCracken of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Dustin Harris, Riley McCracken and Austin McCracken all of Fittstown, Oklahoma; his great grandchildren, Nicole Fekin and Thaddus Fekin of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Keyda Harris and Breana Harris, of Muse, Oklahoma, Aden Tinkler and Aaron Tinkler both of Wetumka, Oklahoma, Ethan Templeman and Tyler Templeman both of Meeker, Oklahoma, Bentley McCracken and Aubree McCracken both of Shawnee, Oklahoma, McKenzie McCracken of Maud, Oklahoma, Kayla Jo McCracken of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Mercy McCracken and Rylan McCracken both of Paden, Oklahoma and a very special loved one Sherry McCracken, Rev. Larry Beach who stood by the family during Mr. McCracken’s illness and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Roger McCracken, 7 sisters and 5 brothers. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Cummings Cemetery west of Maud, Oklahoma with Chaplain Earl Hood officiating. Visitation is at the Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home at 110 N. Broadway, Maud, Oklahoma. Funeral services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma.
