Douglas M. Todd

March 6, 1956 — December 27, 2010

Douglas M. Todd, 57, longtime Seminole resident, died Monday, December 27, 2010 at his home in Seminole. Doug was born March 6, 1953 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Robert and June (Weil) Todd. Doug moved to Seminole from Freemont, California 18 years ago.  Most of his adult life, he worked in construction and carpentry. He was a heavy equipment operator, where he developed a life long love for bulldozers.  He drove trucks for Oklahoma Liquefied Gas and Hays Trucking Company in Seminole. Doug attended the Congregational Methodist Church in Seminole. He was always willing to help someone who needed something, whether a neighbor or friend or stranger. The daughters have fond memories of being able to talk to him about anything. He was very knowledgeable and loved watching the nightly news. They especially loved talking politics with him. They remember him as a gentle man and diplomatic. Doug was also an avid Oakland Raiders football fan and had a “sweet tooth”. His wife, Cindi Todd of Seminole, two daughters and sons-in-laws, Leah and Kent Bracken of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, and Amanda and Will Kuehner of Seminole, Oklahoma, survive Doug. He is also survived by three granddaughters; Addyson Bracken, Klaire Bracken and Gracie Kuehner. Two sisters and a brother-in-law; Sue and Tony Hale of Freemont, California and Barbara Todd of Freemont, California, also survived him. Memorial services are planned for 1:00 P.M., Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with his longtime friend, Matt Riffle, officiating the services.
