Dorris Austin

Dorris Evelyn (Hathcoat) Austin, 79, departed this life March 12, 2009. She was a longtime Seminole area resident who will be missed by many family and friends.rnrnShe was born on February 24, 1930 to Floyd Virgil and Mary Malinda (Morris) Hathcoat in Hugo, Oklahoma.rnrnDorris married Bud Hooker in 1945 and together they had five children, Johnny Lee Hooker, Mary Dunlap, Floyd Eldon Hooker, Beverly Kay Hooker and Billy Lloyd Hooker.rnrnIn 1971 she was married to Lawrence Austin until his death in 2001. Dorris worked as a restaurant manager and school bus driver for many years.rnrnPreceding her in death are both husbands, her sons Johnny and Floyd Hooker and her daughter-in-law Barbara Kay Hooker.rnrnShe is survived by her two daughters; Beverly Kay Hooker of the home and Mary Dunlap of Cloudy, Oklahoma. One son Billy Hooker and his wife Doreena of the home. Also surviving her are eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Her life long friend Clemmie Morris also survives her.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 18. 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
