Dorothy Jean “Jeannie” Rees, 83 Dorothy Jean “Jeannie” Rees, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016, in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 83. Dorothy was born September 3, 1932 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma to parents, Grover Cleveland Shockey and Stella Mae (Harris) Shockey.  Dorothy moved to Seminole from Henryetta, Oklahoma 60 years ago.  Dorothy married Alvin Cornelius “A.C.” Rees at Blackburn Chapel, Shawnee, Oklahoma on May 17, 1953.  Dorothy was employed with Seminole Medical Center for 27 years working in the cafeteria; she was a member of the First Church of God, Heartland Family Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Dorothy is survived by her husband, A.C. Rees of the home; one son, Stephen Rees of Spring Hill, Florida; one daughter, Cynthia Hall of Seminole, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jessica Chinni, Christopher Rees, Aaron Rees, Ericka Rees and 14 great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Stella Shockey; two brothers, J.C. Shockey, Homer Shockey; two sisters, Norma Robbins and Geraldine Tomlin. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Christopher Rees officiating. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery, Seminole county, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Steve Rees, Chris Rees, Justin Chinni, Bill Hooten, Ed Luna and Russ Hall. There will be visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home.   Funeral services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.   Funeral Information: August 12, 2016, 10:00 AM Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel located at 1001, Seminole, OK 74868
